Standing lateral hip stretch

Stand upright in front of a table or chair with feet shoulder width apart.
Place your hands on the table for support and then cross one leg behind the other until you can start to feel a stretch on the outside of your hips.
Keep your trunk upright and your rear leg straight throughout.
Increase the stretch by bending your front leg and lowering your body towards the ground.
Hold for the required amount of time and then slowly return to the starting position.
