Sit upright in a chair.
Place your affected arm on a table with your hand on it’s side.
Hold your thumb away from your palm parallel to the table.
Use your opposite hand to wrap the band once around the base of your thumb, holding the end taut.
Move your thumb as far as you can towards your index finger.
Ensure you do not bend the tip of your thumb.
Control the movement as you move your thumb back to the start position.
