Prepare a plate with food suitable for cutting, and a knife and a fork with thick handles.
This exercise can also be done using therapy putty or playdough instead of food.
Hold the knife in one hand and the fork in your other hand.
Use the fork to keep the food in place while using the knife to cut the food with a back and forth action.
If needed, a non-slip mat can also be used under the plate to keep it in place.
